DESIGN ARCHITECT 

·         Receives instructions from, and works under the supervision of the SAUDI ARAMCO Project Engineer

·         Acts as project lead architect, responsible for the overall designs and production of construction documents

·         Develops perspectives, rendering and design and designs scale models of proposed designs. Leads the design by determining design intent and objectives, prepares drawings and coordinates the development of design elements which each design discipline.

·         Inspects existing conditions and coordinates the project development including verification of record drawings for accuracy. Develops base plans for use by each design discipline.

·         Lays out plan and detail drawings for development by draftsmen and engineering staff

·         Assigns and supervises design draftsmen.

·         Identifies standard details and prepares new details as required.

·         Review plans and designs and recommends solution to technical problems

·         Prepares technical and performance specifications. 

Qualifications

 ·         Must possess a Bachelor of Architecture Degree as a minimum requirement and shall have passed National Licensure Examination

 ·         Must be fluent in both written and spoken English 

Experience 

·         Must have minimum of fifteen (15) years in experience in Architectural/Design Office producing drawing related to building construction. Of which ten (10) years working experience, from the date of obtaining License/Qualifications related to preparing designs, presentations, working drawings and specification preparation.   Additionally shall be able to do conceptual sketches both for design and construction.

 ·         Shall have minimum five (5) years proven experience (and be able to demonstrate that experience) as Head Design Architect or Design Team Leader responsible for development of perspectives, rendering and development of drawing and specifications using Computer Aided Design software in the level of “MicroStation”. 

·         Experienced in the Uniform Building codes and other U.S. or European building codes.
